Press and more eye candy!
We've had a fair bit of press coverage recently so look out for our press page coming soon!
On another note, I just saw the trailer for Channing Tatum's new film Fighter. I'm most definitely taken but a girl can look can't she? Hot, hot, hot!!

New stock!
Last week we introduced the Lavish range to MLB and so far we've had a very positive response!
Butterflies, birds and pretty roses are the themes running through the vintage inspired Lavish range this spring/summer. The pretty makeup bags (£13.99) make perfect gifts, but as us girls have to treat ourselves once in a while, they are guaranteed to look great on our own dressing table too.
Mothers day is only a week away but it's not too late to grab a special gift. What better way to say thank you than with one of our luxe pieces of jewellery (hover mouse over image for price details)........

London Fashion Week: We heart fashion
So I’ve waved goodbye to London fashion week for another season and had every intention of blogging about the daily shows but alas, my busy schedule left me feeling so tired I could have quite comfortably slept on a bed of nails! I’m sure by now you serious followers of fashion have well and truly lapped up every credible fashion blog out there, not to mention newspaper coverage but you can’t blame a girl for doing her thing, albeit a little later than anticipated.
I didn’t attend as many shows as I could have – this time last year my schedule was packed with shows and after parties, but A/W09 I donated tickets to deserving friends (how nice am I?!) and I now hope they love me very much…you know who you are ;-) Next season I plan to hit the shows hardcore but until then, here are some of my favourites…….
Ashish, London Hippodrome
Glitzy venue, even glitzier designer. The huge former nightclub has re-opened its doors for corporate hire and was packed out in anticipation of the new collection by Dehli native, Ashish. After an opening acrobatic circus-style act, models for Ashish hit the catwalk strutting their stuff to a live performance from Indie punk-with-a-dash-of-soul singer VV Brown – definitely one to watch and looking oh so stunning in an Ashish number. Renowned for loud patterns, bright clashing hues and bobbles Ashish did what he does best……….
Ps. Image quality is not the best but you get the idea!
Qasimi, St Mary’s
After an accidental detour we arrived at the venue fashionably late at the expense of our seats and the drinks reception – fortunately the show was fashionably later! This was a truly amazing show by the talented duo who design with opulence in mind. With a stunning venue and the likes of Erin O’Connor and Lily Cole modelling, the designs were very much on par. Thumbs up to the beautiful but gigantic black hat adorned with feathers as modelled by Ms O'Connor herself.
At 9pm we headed to the after party at Cuckoo in Central London and were nearly knocked out by the potency of the complimentary vodka shots and cocktails. A lil tipsy within minutes we were the first to hit the dancefloor and credit where credit is due, we rocked the party!
Basso and Brooke, Bloomsbury Ballroom
We really need to learn how to interpret maps because after 30 minutes of trying to find the venue, being instructed to go in several different directions and picking up other lost fashionistas in the process, we finally arrived. How glad were we to bypass the queue thanks to our tickets with little green stickers? Very glad!
What I loved about this show is it challenged the idea of an autumn and winter collection. Instead of black and grey we were treated to colourful prints on light fabrics. Team with cardi if you can’t stand the cold and you’re good to go!
House of Blue Eyes, Beach Blanket
Over at trendy bar Beach Blanket Babylon in Hoxton, House of Blue Eyes was one show I will not forget in a hurry. Bondage, sexuality, burlesque, nudity, confidence the darkside were all themes that sprung to mind whilst watching this show. “Bringing together the worlds of fashion, art, music and film, inspired by Andy Warhol and the factory of late 1960s/early 1970s NYC” goes a long way to understanding the designer’s inspiration. The Gossip’s Beth Ditto modelled for Johnny Blue Eyes last season and I can see why - it was as much a performance as it was a fashion show. See for yourself…………..
Farewell fashion week
What I loved:
Meeting cool people, getting my complimentary hair cut by Toni and Guy, people spotting, outfit observing, free champagne, after parties and of course all the designer clothes!
What I didn’t love
People who left their manners at home, over subscribed shows, long queues, missing the PPQ show as our tickets weren't sent to us in time!
Until next season.........x

Arm Candy
I'm like a kid in a sweet shop this week as i'm really thrilled that our Mischa Barton handbags have just arrived. For those of you who aren't aware, the gorgeous style icon of OC fame launched her own handbag range in the UK last year and we've been lucky enough to get our hands on our favourites from the range. If you want one, don't delay as they're sure to sell out fast!

Love it!
I’m so excited because just in time for Valentines day we’ve got in some gorgeous jewellery that is sure to put a smile on your face. A few subtle hints in your beau's direction about how gorgeous our love letter pendants are, and with a bit of luck one of them will be winging it’s way to you for 14 Feb. Lets hope he gets his order in quickly though as St Valentine’s is only days away!

New year, new blog!
As a self-confessed internet addict it’s hard not to notice the number of blogs and forums devoted to fashion that have popped up recently; and not one to miss out on a trend I pledged that one of my new years resolutions would be to write my own blog for My Little Boutique. I know, I know it’s the end of January, meaning i’m nearly a month late but I’ve been so busy sourcing gorgeous costume jewellery and handbags that the blog has had to take a temporary back seat. I have given myself points for keeping to one resolution though – eating less sugar! Ok so I have substituted sugar with naughty savoury delights but oh well, you win some you lose some xox
